He’s an easy one to draw. You either get Zappa or Inspector Gadget with a mustache. I used to listen to the Mothers all the time. But not in the last two years, which is foolish. What’s more foolish is that the only thing that made me think of him was my “lets plop in random words into google and draw em” moment I had today. Sorry little yellow chick, I will post you another day.

So, being a creature of habit that I am, I have decided to start a new project that entails a large number of small items. Over the next week or so I hope to have this 6 foot piece of transparency paper covered with silhouettes of keys.

I’m not sure yet if I will only draw lock keys, or will explore the idea of ‘this thing goes into another thing and unlocks something’. Maybe I’ll get into key signatures, or colour keys, or jump drive keys…who knows?

Between freelance and other personal projects I’ve gotten myself into, this seems a good way to keep me drawing every day.

I’m already getting excited about how the white space is going to look…and if colour will get involved!
